Last July 23, 2016, our partner Transwing Art Gallery offered a watercolor workshop with Joemarie Sanclaria Chua and Pauline Reyes as conductors.

Joem shared tips on choosing paper and how to prepare it for watercolor painting.

Skills in color mixing is important to the watercolor artists.  Knowledge about the color wheel and properties of color is a big help in gaining control over the medium.

Joem and Pauline demonstrated how to create a full 12 color wheel from just a set of three colors.  Using the DANIEL SMITH Essentials set which includes two sets of primary colors: a warm set and a cool color set, they were able to come up with a wide range of colors including neutrals like grays and black.
