The Philippine Guild of Watercolorists Inc.(PGW) was formed in 2016 by like-minded individuals who envisioned to promote and elevate watercolor as a respected art medium in the Philippines. We aim to build awareness, interest, and appreciation to the watercolor art and discover, hone, and support local talent through art-related 4Es – education, events, exposure, and experiences. One of our promises is to provide the network and platform for artistic exchange and collaboration.
History and Logo
PGW’s logo is a white circle with the words in all capital black letters PHILIPPINE GUILD OF WATERCOLORISTS inscribed along the upper perimeter. Cutting across the circle are fluid brush strokes in blue, green, violet, yellow and red symbolizing unity, synergy & harmony despite diversity through art, the very principles the organization stands for. As long as the logo is enclosed in white circle, it can be used against any background color. The font Times New Roman Medium gives the name authority and seriousness to its vision.
