Exhibit Guidelines

1. Eligibility: Open to all paid and registered 2021 PGW members as of the submission of this application. You may register here to apply as PGW Official Member or update your information:

2. Medium: Work must be purely completed in watercolor on paper. Paintings should be done using archival pigment and watercolor paper.

3. Theme: Hues of Hope

The theme is open for the artist’s own interpretation. They are welcome to choose his/her subject to feature in his/her paintings. However, since the exhibit may be visible also to young audiences, any paintings that show nudity and violence will be excluded from the show.

Works must be entirely original and not derived from the photographs/works of other artists. No collages or digitally created images will be accepted. Works done in workshops, paint alongs, or master copies will not be accepted.

4. Exposure: Artworks must be made only within 2020-2021 and must not have been exhibited previously in any exhibition.

5. Size: 15in x 22in with or without border in portrait or landscape orientation.

6. Number of Entries: Each artist may submit one (1) artwork for the exhibition. All member submissions are qualified to join the virtual exhibit. The top finalists will be juried for acceptance in the physical exhibition.

7. Prizes:

1st Place P50,000

2nd Place P30,000

3rd Place P15,000

8. Fees:

Virtual Exhibit Participation Fee: P250.00 [for all paintings submitted]

Juried Exhibit Participation Fee: P250.00 [additional for finalists accepted in the Physical Exhibit]

Each qualified PGW member is entitled one (1) painting to be:

a. Part of the PGW Virtual Exhibit

b. The artwork will be featured in the PGW website gallery

c. Painting will be included in the printed catalog for sale to be launched after the exhibit within 2021.

d.    Juried Exhibit Participation fee is for accepted juried entries only.

9. Sold Artworks: The artist will receive 100% of the proceeds.

10. Digital Requirements: Image should be original an NOT digitally retouched. They must be named as follows: LastName_FirstName_Title_Price. Files should be submitted in jpeg format, file size should be minimum of 2MB, maximum of 4MB in 300dpi resolution.

11. Summary of requirements for entry:

a. High resolution image of the work – 300dpi; 2-4mb

b. A short profile of the artist (maximum of 700 characters inclusive of spaces)

c. Artist’s photo  – 300dpi, 1mb, 1x1in, file name [LastName_FirstName_pic]

These should be sent as attachments in an email to: pgw.exhibits@gmail.com. Do not send your submissions via link (i.e. google drive, or WeTransfer).

12. Framing:

a.    The artist will shoulder framing and shipping of artworks to/from the exhibit venue.

b.    The artist may send the unframed painting to PGW for assistance in framing. Framing expense will be shouldered by artist at cost.

c.    Frame specs: 3/4in width x 1 1/4in height white frame with 3in white single matting

13. Important Dates:

Deadline of Submission of Digital Entry: EXTENDED TO July 4, 2021

Announcement of Accepted Entries: July 17, 2021

14. PGW reserves the right to disqualify entries that are not in accordance with the exhibit guidelines. We will notify you if you need to resubmit your entry or if you need to submit a new work for the exhibit.
