VIRTUAL ON-THE-SPOT USING NON-DOMINANT HAND PAINTING CONTEST
Saturday, September 25, 2021, 9 AM to 12 Noon
IMPORTANT: As you may have all experienced, each of the participants need to go through the assessment process to identify your non-dominant hand.
For those coming in late, you may still join in but as long as you have yourself assessed first before painting. Please have a marker, scratch paper and masking tape ready to mark and record your non-dominant hand.
- – MECHANICS:
- – The contest is exclusively open to the 4th PGW National Watercolor Convention Registrants only.
- – All ON THE SPOT activities will be done via zoom. The Zoom Meeting ID will be provided at the Convention Group Page.
- – Everyone joining the contest MUST join the zoom room and is REQUIRED to turn on their cameras and show themselves painting all through the time allocated. Please be ready with your camera set-up prior to the commencement.
- – Each participant needs to be assessed of his/her non-preferred hand prior to painting.
- – Each participant can only use the non-dominant hand as identified at the beginning of your painting session.
- – Any shift or movement from left to right hand will be disqualified
- – No cartoon, line art or abstract work that renders the original reference unrecognizable.
- – Photos of the subject will be posted at the Convention Page and shown in the zoom room as we start the session.
- – Participants are given complete freedom to change composition, omit or add objects or elements even simplify forms as to satisfy ones expressions and give the painting a maximum impact.
